SIPT is operated by Sipt Pty Ltd (ABN 18 682 560 149) ("SIPT", "we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and this policy is written to reflect what we actually do, in plain English.

We only collect information we need to run SIPT and serve you well. This includes:

Information you give us

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Your delivery address and any delivery instructions you provide (for example, a safe place or gate code)
• Your order details, including flavours, quantities, and any notes you add to an order (such as allergy information you choose to share) 
• Your account login details, if you create an account  
• Messages you send us by email, contact form, or social media
• Your marketing preferences, such as joining our mailing list or waitlist

Health-related information, such as allergy notes, is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We don't ask for it, and we can't act on it as a substitute for the allergen information on our packaging. If you choose to share it, we only use it to respond to your message and we don't share it with anyone else.

Information collected automatically

• Payment information, which is collected and processed securely by our payment providers through the Shopify platform. We never see or store your full card details.
• Order history and interactions with our website, collected through Shopify and standard analytics tools (such as pages visited, device type, and general location), including through cookies
• A photo taken at your delivery location when your order is delivered, which we use as our record of delivery

We use your information to:

• Process and deliver your orders, including sharing delivery details with our drivers or delivery partners
• Communicate with you about your orders, such as confirmations and delivery notifications
• Confirm and record deliveries, including using delivery photos to resolve any question about whether an order arrived
• Manage your account and any subscription
• Respond to your questions, feedback, and any issues with an order
• Send you marketing messages such as news, offers, and new flavour launches, but only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time
• Let you know when we start delivering to your area, if you have joined our waitlist
• Improve our products, website, and service, using order trends and website analytics
• Protect our business and customers, including preventing fraud, and resolving payment disputes
• Meet our legal obligations, including food safety recalls and financial record keeping

We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to running SIPT, and we never sell it to anyone.

We share personal information only where needed to run our business, with:

• Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf
• Payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, and other payment methods you choose at checkout) to process your payment securely
• Delivery drivers and delivery partners, who receive your name, address, delivery instructions, and phone number so your order reaches you
• Email and SMS service providers, to send order notifications and, if you have opted in, marketing messages
• Analytics and advertising platforms (such as Google and Meta), which may receive information about your visit to our website, such as pages viewed and hashed contact details, to help us measure performance and show relevant ads. You can limit this through your cookie and browser settings.
• Professional advisers and authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights

Some of our service providers (such as Shopify) store data on servers located overseas, primarily in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy standards.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and show relevant advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the website (such as checkout) may not work properly without essential cookies.

We only send marketing emails or SMS if you have opted in, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). If you join our delivery waitlist, we will email you about availability in your area, and we will only send you general marketing if you separately opt in. Every marketing message includes a working unsubscribe link, which is the fastest way to opt out. You can also opt out by emailing enquiries@sipt.au.
Opting out of marketing does not affect service messages such as order confirmations and delivery notifications, which we send to all customers.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These steps include using Shopify's secure, encrypted platform, limiting access to personal information to those who need it, and using reputable service providers. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we treat your information with care and only keep it for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Delete your account or personal information, where we are not required to keep it by law

Just email us at enquiries@sipt.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

Our website and Products are intended for purchase by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website and messages may contain links to third-party websites, such as our social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our business grows or the law changes. The current version will always be published on our website, with the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on our website or by email where appropriate.

If you have a question, concern, or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days.
